Create cute little moulds to use either on their own or on a slab you are creating. Simply firmly press your conditioned clay into the mould, cut off the excess and gently push out of the mould.
Moulds are also oven friendly. 
Tip: If you are having trouble getting the raw clay out of the mould, try putting it into the freezer for a few minutes.
